Do pick up lines work on the chat?

I have recently tried a few pick up lines on the chat and the results have been varying. Has anyone else tried it out on here? It would be interesting to see if anyone has been successful.

Personally, I prefer a casual 'hi' or a 'hello' rather than a pick up line. I don't think women fall for pick up lines anymore, especially online. Pick up lines sound rehearsed and fake sometimes, so you're better off with something more simple and original.
